Pedestrian are registered charity situated in the heart of Leicester. They believe that with the right levels of support and timely intervention everyone can achieve their goals. They call this work 'Pioneering Potential’. They provide education and training to young people at risk and vulnerable adults; individuals whom are often socially excluded and from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Pedestrian originally started back in 1998 as a turntable night and DJ night. It has grown since it's humble begins and now offers a variety of support and training across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Staffordshire. They provide education and training to young people at risk and adults in challenging circumstances. Their main focus being education work with 14-25 year olds through a creative outlet. This allows these young adults to gain experience and get qualifications in Business Enterprise, Music and Arts & Photography. Pedestrian are proud to have a really good attendance rate, the students keep wanting to come back for more! Alongside this work Pedestrian also have outside projects such as working with 0-5 year olds and their families, Youth Offenders and the homeless.
On 30th March Pedestrian are holding a special gig at The Exchange to raise funds for young people's music projects with the National Foundation for Youth Music. Join us for a night of live music and help support the development of the next generation of young musicians.
As well as the gig there will be a music related quiz, raffle (including a little something from The Exchange) and a silent auction. The silent action will include the following:

- Studio Time
- Inta Sound Goodies
- Mixing and mastering service from Robin Junga
- Ricet Peas new limited edition vinyl
