As part of the Everybody's Reading Festival The Exchange is playing host to a special Moonshine Word Jam. We are super excited to welcome these wonderful guys back for yet another night of awesome poetry and jazz. Come along on Wednesday 4th October 7pm – 10:30pm to see what they have on offer.



Kat Francois

Kat Francois: internationally acclaimed performance poet, World Slam Poetry Championships winner, playwright, actor, comedian, workshop facilitator, Youth Theatre Director, playwright, director, are just a few of her artistic achievements. A well-known spoken word artist on the London poetry scene, Kat has been hosting a monthly poetry and music event, Word4Word, for 13 years at Theatre Royal Stratford East. Kat creates a positive and welcoming space for poets and musicians to share their work attracting both new and established artists, all interspersed with her comedic hosting.

BootLeg (House) Trio

Sophie Fishwick (Drums) Deb Mawby (Saxes)  and Fran Bass (Bass) have been described by audiences as 'incredible!' 'soooo generous and supportive', 'sensitive and laid back', these amazing musicians play improvised soundscapes to accompany readers, reciters and spoken performers who sign up to the Open mic. They make words sound wonderful... and later invite musicians to join in for a jazz vibe jam!
