Full time Barista (daytimes only)

Job brief

We are looking for a responsible Barista for daytimes at The Exchange. You will directly report to the Manager & Assistant Manager. Your job will be highly important in ensuring we meet our goals of efficiency and high customer satisfaction.

This is a daytime only position and therefore you must be available 8am – 4pm daily including weekends. It is anticipated that you will work a set fulltime shift pattern of up to 48 hours per week, however you must be flexible to occasionally work beyond this on occasions when the business requires.

Responsibilities

  •          To deliver the highest levels of customer service

  •          Maintain stock levels/availability by replenishing display/fridges within company guidelines

  •          Act on initiative to optimize sales to the customer

  •          To produce & serve all drinks to brand standards & recipes, including bar drinks & alcohol as required

  •          To produce & present all food to brand standards

  •          To operate the till in line with brand till operation & cash handling procedures

  •          To maintain customer areas to company standards

  •          To attend team meetings as required

  •          To complete all tasks required by the daily cleaning schedule

  •          To maintain standards of Health, Safety & cleanliness

  •          To sell & demonstrate product knowledge by advising the customer & answering queries

  •          Motivate, coach & support other staff in daytime operations and coffee

  •          Communicate with customers and evaluate their needs. Analyze consumer behavior and feedback

  •          Research emerging products and use information to suggest updates stock

  •          Open & set up for service at The Exchange

  •          Conduct daily audits to ensure The Exchange is functional and presentable

  •          Act as our representative and set an example for our staff

  •          Proven experience in customer facing position

  •          Enthusiasm to execute outstanding customer service
